08/07/13: Barefaced Beauty

This Barefaced Beauty eyeshadow in Graphite came in my SoukSouk box this month.  Initially I wasn't sure about it, as it's very dark and I would have preferred a lighter shade, but after trying it with my new brushes, I'm really impressed with the quality of colour and how it can be used as an eyeliner.

The packaging is fantastic - and I wish more mineral foundation/eyeshadow producers would use similar packaging, as it saves time and minerals!  Like salt packaging, you rotate the inner lid to release the shadow.  For someone as clumsy and impatient as me, it's great.

Each shadow contains 1.5g of powder and costs £8.00.  Although this is less g for your £ than some other brands, I find I lose less of this shadow than others I own because of the clever container.  So, I think it is worth the extra pounds.  :)

Good for me?
Reasonable price, good colour payoff and easy to apply even for me!  I'm looking at buying a few more of their shades now for shadows rather than liner.  There are twenty-two different shades, so I'm hoping that there is one that suits me.

Good for you?
Depends on whether you could give up kohl liner for powder - if so, this colour is more than worth a try. :)  It's a little pot with quite a punch.  You can find it at Barefaced Beauty or here at Cocktail Cosmetics.  (On sale at the moment!)

Did you get this shadow in your SoukSouk box - what do you think?

Would you try mineral liner over a pencil?

  1. That is just about the blackest natural eyeshadow/eyeliner I've seen! I wonder if they ship to U.S.

    1. I completely agree - I have four other mineral shadows that I love for their colour but find the packaging can make a real mess. I invested in some eyeshadow brushes to help minimise the amount lost but it's still a bit hairy! xx

  5. Love the packaging! Always make such a mess with mineral cosmetics lol, never buy the ones that don't have a sifter. It'd be a waste of money as my floor would mostly be wearing it! :) If it was a shade or two lighter, I'd probably use as eyebrow filler! xx
