20/01/14: Argan Oil - The Argan Company

Over the last year I've tried quite a few unscented pure oils for various uses.  I started with just the olive oil that I have in my kitchen and then moved on to jojoba and castor after discovering the oil cleansing method.  But at the moment my favourite oil to use is argan.  I came across it a lot when I was researching the different oils that one could use for skincare, but dismissed it a little as it can be quite expensive in comparison to others.

12/01/14: The Vegan Kind III - January Box

Last months TVK box was very exciting to receive, so seeing various tweets about people getting hold of the January offering really got me watching the door for the post.  After subscribing to Souk Souk for a while, it's been nice to change it up a little and know that the products waiting inside might be anything from household cleaners to lip balm or marshmallows.  If you want to know what's in store for you, or you're considering a subscription,  then click through to read more about what I received this month and initial thoughts on each product!

11/01/14: Mini Smackdown

Firstly, Happy New Year!  I can't believe that we're here in 2014, and despite being almost two weeks in this is my first post.  Ruh-roh.  But hopefully in the coming weeks normal blogging will resume - and today we're beginning with a mini comparison post.

For me, a lot of buying over the internet involves in dithering between one or more of the same product or different shades.  So for anyone else out there in the same predicament, I've put together my thoughts and a few pictures comparing a few different products - hopefully they will be of some use to you.

Rosehip Oil:  Trilogy Rosehip Oil +* v Pai Rosehip Oil
Ana and Sandra were kind enough to send me some samples of these two products back when I was trying to decide between the two. I started by using them both on different sides of my face, but soon I knew which one was the winner.  The Pai won out for me due to its rich colour and fruity scent.  It just felt more of a treat to use than the Trilogy oil which didn't have anything about it to discern it from any other oil I own.
