09/02/14: Bare English - Review & Giveaway

Bare English were first introduced to me by Caitie who included their Vanilla Coconut balm in the little box of treats she sent me last year.  I soon got chatting to the brand and they very kindly offered to send me their other flavours to try out.

Already a fan of the green tea infused Vanilla Coconut, I was excited to try the Mint Chocolate and Pomegranate Berry versions that rounded out the trio they had on offer.

Of the three, the Mint Chocolate is my absolute favourite -  peppermint tea infused and minty fresh!  It gives my lips that tingle that I adore.  It smells amazing and honestly good enough to eat - I misplaced it for a while and really missed it - a sign of a good balm!

Not often having had pomegranate, I wasn't sure what to expect but Pomegranate Berry is a sweet and fruity scent.  I currently carry it in my coat pocket - when it's cold outside, my beloved tingly Mint Chocolate is just a little too fresh and this berry balm is a perfect replacement.  Each balm is organic, vegan and contains a variation on coconut oil, candelilla wax, infused sweet almond oil, castor seed oil, jojoba oil, cocoa butter and olive oil that is creamy, lip-loving and smells great.

In our email correspondence they mentioned they were creating new flavours and I spotted on twitter recently that they've more than doubled their range, with 4 new scents launched at the TOTea Festival in Canada.  The combinations that they've come up with sound delicious, and I'm hoping that they will soon be available on their website for purchase.

Pink Grapefruit - I'm a sucker for citrus and this sounds perfect.  I've always been tempted by the Hurraw balm in the same flavour but never got around to buying it.  Cucumber and Melon - a scent unlike any I've seen available before, I'm really interested to see how this one smells as it sounds fresh and summery.  Vanilla Almond - a close cousin to the Vanilla Coconut I'm really hoping that this one smells a bit like marizpan.  Cherry Berry - Cherries, cherry flavoured sweets, lip glosses, drinks... they're all winners for me - I'm sure this balm will be too.

So, to celebrate the launch of their new flavours, I'm offering three lucky winners the chance to try out a balm from their original line up, Mint Chocolate, Pomegranate Berry and Vanilla Coconut.

To enter, just fill out the Rafflecopter below.  Good luck!

*Each balm contains "Aroma/Flavour" - Bare English explained that this is a proprietary blend of organic herb, fruit and spice extracts/oils.  So not like the "parfum" we all go   O_o   over!

  7. Mint Chocolate sounds absolutely divine! I love minty lip balms (had one that I absolutely adored, but lost it :() and the addition of chocolate would send me head over heels! Chocolate and mint is tied for first with chocolate and orange for my favourite chocolate and flavour pairing!
