The Vegan Kind #TVK7

So, last week saw the arrival on my doorstep of the seventh "The Vegan Kind" box.  Seventh!!  I can't believe how time has passed since I first heard of this subscription and since receiving my first box.  I've really enjoyed all my boxes, but I think this is in the top three.

How cute are these little bags that arrived in the box for us to fill up with Dormouse Tea Company loose tea? I received the Jasmine tea, but I think that Green Tea and Keemun Morning Tea sachets also went out. Honestly I'm usually a Builder's (Organic Clipper Fairtrade) Bum cuppa kind of person and I don't often branch out. However, I did enjoy the cup I tried and it's gone down well with others in the family. The sachet is the perfect size for trying out a new type of tea.

Scoff Sweets Vegan Fudge was the second item in the box to be demolished, kindly assisted by family members.  It wasn't as chewy as regular fudge but I have a feeling that "normal" Chocolate Fudge isn't quite the same texture as "normal" fudge.  The pack was a perfect size for sharing and I wouldn't say no to another bag, especially their Classic Vanilla flavour.

I was intrigued when I saw these Golden Apple Organic Raw Biscuits in Hazelnut and Peppermint.  My first impression of them wasn't great as I didn't quite know what to expect and the Peppermint was a bit of a surprise.  However, the more I've nibbled on them the more I like them.  They're slightly chewy and the Peppermint definitely comes through the Hazelnut.  I would be interested to try out their Onion and Garlic flavour as that sounds like the perfect savoury treat.

I think my favourite item in this box was Hectares Sweet Potato Piri Piri Crisps. They were soooo delicious I didn't want to share (although begrudgingly I gave away a few).  I'm a fan of different vegetable crisps anyway, but sometimes they can be a bit too sweet for my liking.  The Piri Piri of this went perfectly with the sweet potato - they were crunchy with a hint of chew.  I'm hoping that these start to be stocked in some of my local stores as I could definitely see myself picking these up on a regular basis.

When I first saw the Whole Plus Hot-Pot in Vanilla Spice I had high hopes.  I try to eat porridge in the morning but sometimes I just don't have the time to be going back and forth to the cooker to give it a stir.  So the idea of a porridge-like breakfast that just takes some hot water and a minute really appealed to me.  Unfortunately, I forgot to factor in that in regards porridge I'm quite fussy about how I like it, so the texture of this just didn't work for me.  I used the exact amount of water specified but I think I would have to use less to make it something that I would use regularly.  Taste wise it was absolutely fine, but for the moment I'm stuck to running back and forth.  Has anyone else had these - do different levels of water work?

Last but not least, a sachet of Bio Laundry Liquid.  I haven't used this up yet, but I enjoyed previous cleaning products in my TVK boxes, so I'm hoping this won't disappoint.  I have a few work tops that should probably be handwashed, so I might see if this works for that.

What do you think of the contents?
Any tips on how to make the Hot-Pot work for me?
